From day one at Ankar, we made a defining choice: security would come first - not later. Before we signed our first customer, we had already achieved the industry’s highest security certifications. That conviction comes from experience
Before founding Ankar, we [Wiem and Tamar] spent years at Palantir, building mission-critical systems that safeguarded some of the world’s most sensitive national-security data. Wiem led secure, enterprise-scale AI deployments and helped develop new AI technologies. Tamar Gomez later spent time leading products at Helsing, a European defense-technology company developing secure AI capabilities for governments and military organizations across Europe.
With over a decade of experience building defense-grade software, the Ankar platform was designed with security at its core. We apply the same rigor once used to safeguard classified defense information to the world of R&D and intellectual property.

Ankar never uses your data to train models. Your information is never shared.
We understand that the material we handle (R&D ideas, invention disclosures, and patent drafts) must never enter the public domain. That’s why we built Ankar around a principle we call data sovereignty by design: your data stays exactly where it belongs - in your hands.
All customer data is securely stored within our Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environment, fully segregated and encrypted both in transit and at rest. We deploy local copies of large-language models within secure cloud environments, ensuring that data in the Ankar platform never leaves these isolated environments, and will never be accessible to model providers.
Ankar is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified. These are two of the most rigorous, globally recognized standards for data security and confidentiality. Achieving these certifications before onboarding our first customer reflects a commitment to security that has been foundational since day one.
